For the first time since her husband lost his Cabinet position, Sainiana Radrodro, the wife of Aseri Radrodro has broken her silence, telling this newspaper in an interview “I will stand by my husband”.

She has vowed to support her husband and newly elected SODELPA leader.

The emotional Kiuva native said life in the limelight of politics has not been easy.

But as a wife, she has embraced her role and will support Mr Radrodro in his new journey.

“It has not been easy but I have had to stand by my husband,” she said.

“When we came this morning (yesterday) we prayed and agreed that whatever the outcome of the Annual General Meeting is, we will accept it.

“We have been the target of many critics since we got into politics and it’s not an easy journey but we continued.”

With her husband remaining as backbencher, Mrs Radrodro who was at the AGM, believes all that matters is the journey ahead for a better Fiji.

“We know that God has been with us all this time, we have not had an easy path in this, but we believe in a God who will take us through.”

Mr Radrodro has also accepted his position as backbencher and does not want back the post of Education Minister.
