THE Sai Medical Team has been acknowledged for their hard work as they continued their voluntary work in assisting patients who needed medical care.

In acknowledging the work of the team, Minister for Health and Medical Services Dr Ifereimi Waqainabete welcomed and thanked the organisers and volunteers  of the medical camp as they have engaged themselves towards a worthy cause.

“In doing so you have sacrificed your valuable time for the benefit of those who are in need of medical assistance”, Dr Waqainabete said.

The visiting team has been providing these services to approximately 500 patients each time they visited Fiji and proposed future engagements as such are also being discussed.

The team has been visiting Fiji for a number of years now and assisted the patients with services such as

  • Obstetrics and Gynaecology: Women’s Health and Cervical Cancer Screening
  • Dental Services: Extractions and Fillings, Denture Repairs and Relines
  • Psychology and Mental Health
  • Dietetics – Nutritional Advice
  • Glucose Level & Blood Pressure Tests
  • Free medication dispensation where necessary.
