THE stretch of road from the Nausori Airport, along the Kings Rd towards Samabula and to the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva will be closed from 5pm today.
The road closure is due to a dry run of the escorting duties to be performed by Police upon the arrival of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Police has urged the public’s cooperation and patience during this time.
The travelling public planning to travel in these routes during the peak traffic period have been asked to take alternative routes.
Police officers will be deployed from 4pm today for route lining duties and to redirect traffic ahead of the closure at 5pm.
