Robbery suspect remanded, case transferred to High Court

A MAN charged with a count each of theft, aggravated robbery and resisting arrest had his matter transferred to the High Court in Suva.

Sekove Vadei appeared before Magistrate Jioji Boseiwaqa at the Suva Magistrates Court this morning.

It is alleged  Mr Vadei stole a fibreglass boat valued at $5000 from a person and from another stole assorted items to the total value of $5525.

The alleged incident occurred on November 16, 2018 in Lami.

Police Prosecutor Corporal Sanil Kumar served full phase disclosures and objected to Mr Vadei’s bail as it is an indictable offence.

Mr Vadei has been remanded and the case has been adjourned to December 3.
