THE Republic of the Fiji Military Forces has started looking at other strategies in case Fijians soldiers are pulled out from serving peace keeping duties in Lebanon under the United Nations Interim Force (UNIFIL) by next month.

This was confirmed by RFMF Chief of Staff Colonel Jone Kalouniwai.

“There are discussions that they will come back in December, so the RFMF is bracing for that and it will be an opportunity for us to come back and reconsolidate to re look at our peacekeeping strategies and see what we can do in terms of having this particular capability back with us,” he said.

Colonel Kalouniwai said it wouldn’t be a loss to the RFMF if Fijians soldiers serving in Lebanon under UNIFIL are pulled out.
