Rooster Chicken Fijian Drua’s women’s head coach, Mosese Rauluni, expressed his satisfaction with the team’s defence in their 19-5 victory over Western Force at Churchill Park in Lautoka yesterday.

“Impress on our defence, we made contact, but we gave away a lot of penalties we should improve on that in our next game,” Rauluni said.

The former Flying Fijians half-back, however, voiced his disappointment regarding the team’s discipline.

“I was a bit disappointed with the discipline, but we kept them out in the second half and prevented them from scoring tries.

“I would love to get the bonus point to move in second, but a win is a win, and we will take it,” Rauluni added.

Rauluni emphasized the need to improve ball possession ahead of their next match against the Brumbies.

“We were pushing the ball all over the place and we should be better at that.

“We should know when we should play and when we shouldn’t and this kind of weather we don’t want to play in our own half,” he added.

Looking ahead, Rauluni stressed the team’s commitment to continual improvement and adherence to their game plan.

“We will try to improve every game next week, follow our game plan.”

Meanwhile, Western Force Head Coach Dylan Parson expressed disappointment with the outcome, citing missed opportunities.

“Lot of missed opportunities today, it’s a bit disappointing.”
