FORMER Minister of Education Aseri Radrodro says he has accepted being a backbencher, but he also respected the decisions of the SODELPA management board.
He said this when asked whether he wanted to be reinstated, adding that a proper statement would be made after the party’s annual general meeting on Saturday.
“We will make the statement later on in the week, we’ll just wait for the AGM,” he said.
“We’ll continue as normal and just wait for Saturday where we will give the proper statement.”
He said he was a ‘party man’ and would abide by whatever decisions were made.
“There have been a lot of talks and discussions about that but, like I said, I’m a party man and I respect the decisions of the board, and I have also accepted the position as a backbencher.
“So we hope to resolve this very quickly and move on to serving the people.”
Mr Radrodro also said the issue relating to party leader and Deputy Prime Minister Viliame Gavoka refusing to step down as directed by the management board would have to be dealt with by the board.
“That’s for the board to comment on.
“That should be directed to the Secretariat and, like I said, we are here as a member of the party.”
Meanwhile, Mr Radrodro yesterday posted on his Facebook page that he was the “newly elected SODELPA Party Leader Designate”.
