PRESCHOOLS around the country have started with the one-week celebration of Early Childhood Care and Education Week.

With the theme “Quality early childhood care and education is everyone’s responsibility” students participated in different educational activities.

At St Joseph the Worker Kindergarten, St Joseph the Worker Primary School headteacher Ema Waqanidrola said great education began with a great kindergarten experience.

“It is the responsibility of everyone to see that our children receive early quality education,” said Ms Waqanidrola.

She added “early education is one of the best investments we can make to prepare children for learning and allow them to thrive later in life”.

Ms Waqanidrola said children who benefitted from quality early childhood education programs were better prepared for primary school and would attain better educational outcomes.

Students participated in character parades and had entertainment for guests as part of their celebration.
