Promoter plans big show

The Kiran Boxing Promotions plans to stage four programs in the country next year which will feature local and overseas boxers.

KBP launched its lone program for this year in Nadi last week which is set to take place at Prince Charles Park on November 28.

It will feature Jese Ravudi and Ronald Naidu battling for the World Boxing Foundation Asia Pacific super welterweight title in the main bout.

Promoter Ben Krishna said the initial date was June 22, but the program had to be postponed because of COVID-19 restrictions.

“This is a great opportunity to bring a WBF title fight to Fiji,” Krishna said. “I plan to stage another four programs next year.”

Program: 10×3 min: (WBF super welterweight title): Ronald Naidu-Jese Ravudi; 10×3 min: (Fijian Super middleweight title) Tomu: Gaunavou-Siliveni Nawai; 6×3 min: Abhay Chand-Isikeli Senidoko, Filimoni Naliva Jr-Apisai Naciqa; 4×3 min: Shamal Raj Anuj-Rahul Aaron Kumar; (women’s bout): Visila Kolitapa-Katerina Singh.
