SHREEDHAR Motors national manager Sales and Marketing Arvin Prasad has assumed presidency of the Rotary Club of Suva Peninsula Sunset for the 2026-2027 Rotary year.

Mr Prasad’s role in this position is to provide leadership and direction to the club while also inspiring members to service their communities through meaningful and sustainable projects.

He said he would work closely with the board of directors and club members to plan and oversee community initiatives, strengthen membership and community organisations, and ensure the club operated effectively.

“My responsibility is to unite our members around a shared vision of service and ensure that the project we undertake create lasting impact on the communities we serve,” Mr Prasad told this newspaper.

“I’m deeply grateful for the trust and confidence that my fellow Rotarians have placed in me to lead the club. The role means a great deal to me because it provides an opportunity to give back to the community in a meaningful way while working alongside a passionate team of volunteers who are committed to creating positive change.

“The club, Rotarians, and the wider community can expect a leadership style that is inclusive, transparent, and focused on service. My priority is to strengthen and empower our members while building meaningful partnership with businesses and community organisations.”

Mr Prasad said while he holds a leadership position at work, serving as president of the Rotary club was unique “because it is built entirely on voluntary role”. “Unlike a corporate leadership role, success is not measured by financial performance our business outcome, but by the positive impact we make in the lives of others.”

He will serve in that role for a year from July 1 to June 30 next year.
