Police kicks off prep for tourney

THE Fiji Police Force has started their 2023 Ratu Sukuna Netball and Volleyball preparations early with a Fiji Police Women’s Netball and Volleyball Tournament held on Thursday and Friday last week.
Officiating at the conclusion of the two-day tournament, Assistant Commissioner of Police Sakeo Raikaci acknowledged the teams for showcasing their talent and making it hard for selectors.
“Thank you for showcasing your talent over the past two days of competition. Our main purpose for the tournament was to select our main women’s team for the Sukuna tournament, “he said.
“I understand the selectors had a hard job selecting our final teams and to the organising committee, you have done well as the tournament was a success.
“Let’s work together for a win. The win will be for the organisation and our families”.
Central Division won the netball competition beating Southern while the Southern Division won the volleyball tournament final beating Central.
The netball tournament Best Player Award went to PC Tima Molikula from the Southern Division.
The volleyball Best Player award went to PC Katarina Vereivalu from the Southern Division.
Most Disciplined and Best Dressed Team was awarded to the Northern Division.
