THE Fiji Police Force will now focus its operation on the festive season and the coming school holidays.

Police Commissioner Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho said there would be no rest for police officers as they prepared for their next major operational phase in ensuring all Fijians and visitors to Fiji enjoy a safe and incident-free Christmas with their loved ones.

He said he was optimistic of receiving the same level of co-operation from the public in working with police during this festive season.

“The last few months has really demanded a lot from our officers, having being deployed all over Fiji and the next two months will be no different,” Brig-Gen Qiliho said.

“While we don’t expect anything in return as this is the work expected of us, please say hi or take time to acknowledge officers you meet during this festive season because it boosts their morale to know their efforts are being appreciated.”
