PRIME Minister Sitiveni Rabuka will meet King Charles on May 7 at Buckingham Palace.

Mr Rabuka yesterday confirmed he accepted an invitation sent through Fiji’s High Commission in London.

“I have received that invitation from Foreign Affairs now,” he said.

“It will be an honour to be at palace again – this will be my third visit there – in the 1970s I was there as a rugby player.

“Then I went to apologise to the late Queen in 1988.”

Charles became King when his mother died in 2022 and at the age of 73 he was the oldest person to accede to the British throne.
