A TRADITIONAL welcome ceremony was accorded to the Papua New Guinea (PNG) Prime Minister Peter O’Neill and his delegates this afternoon at the Grand Pacific Hotel (GPH) in Suva.

He said it was an honour for him to be in the country.

“My greatest appreciation for this traditional welcome that has been extended to me and my delegation,” Mr O’Neill said.

Mr O’Neill will be addressing the Fijian Parliament tomorrow on the progress of preparations by his government for the hosting of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in Port Moresby to be held in November later this year.

The PNG Prime Minister is here on a two-day visit and will depart Fiji on Tuesday.
