The family and friends of Minister for Women, Lynda Tabuya, and deputy Speaker and Assistant Minister for Housing and Local Government Lenora Qereqeretabua, organised celebratory events recently to honour their achievements.

More than 100 people turned up at Ms Tabuya’s Laqere, Nasinu, event while a large group showed up for a thanksgiving service for Ms Qereqeretabua organised by her former Namaka Public School classmates.

Ms Qereqeretabua said she was grateful to her group of friends whom she met as a six-year-old and formed friendships over the years.

“Some of whom are now overseas, for always being ready to celebrate each other’s successes and to be there in times of pain,” she said.

“Thank you for your loving and generous spirits.”

Ms Qereqeretabua was accompanied by her parents, Radike and Eta.
