TWENTY- three new lawyers were admitted to the Bar this morning at the High Court in Suva.

While officiating at the swearing in ceremony for the new law graduates of the University of Fiji, Acting Chief Justice Kamal Kumar urged the lawyers to continue working hard.

“If you ask any lawyer who has or had a successful practice, they will certainly tell you there is no substitute for hard work,” Justice Kumar said.

“During the few years of practice, you must take yourself to be a learner and you will need to learn from senior practitioners and your fellow associate on how to practice.”

He advised the graduates  as they progressed in their lives as  a lawyer, it was always advisable for them  to look back at their lives in terms of the hard work done by them and the sacrifices made.
