Netball Fiji has announced a roster of 66 players who will be integral members of the U17 and U19 National Academy.

Netball Fiji will be conducting their first training camp for the national academy on Saturday. Following the National Championship and the Secondary Schools Netball tournament, Netball Fiji organised a one-week National Academy training camp from where they selected their players.

This intensive week-long training camp witnessed the best performing athletes from the secondary schools tournament and the National Championship vying for a spot in the National Academy.

On hand were the National Academy selectors, entrusted with the task of evaluating players and forming the final squad.

The primary objective of the National Academy is to foster the young talents round the country.

The 2023 National Academy will also serve as a preparatory platform for players gearing up for the Netball World Youth Cup qualifiers, scheduled for the following year.

The comprehensive program will encompass a total of four camps, concluding with an eagerly awaited Academy Tournament.

Camp two is scheduled for October 21, while camp three will be on November 4, and camp four on November 11.
