“It’s not just about netball, but what our two different cultures bring to the sport.”

Netball Fiji’s chief executive officer Vivian Koster made the above statement after their three-day coaching workshop with Netball Australia came to an end yesterday.

“Not only did we discuss the sport of netball, but also how we can develop netball through our culture,” she said.

The workshop featured coaches from Fiji’s women’s and men’s teams.

“We have all our national coaches here who were part of the workshop, and it has been eye-opening for them.”

Koster said the workshop allowed coaches to share their experiences with each other and to look at how they could better coach their teams.

“Then from here, our national coaches will go back to their clubs and share whatever they’ve learned here at this workshop.”
