NASINU Masters came out victorious after the Vodafone Southern Veteran League Championship finals beating Suva Masters 5-0 in the last round of play at the Fiji Football Academy in Vatuwaqa, Suva.

Team President Lawrence Robert said it was a proud moment for the team as it was an addition to another milestone since the establishment of the club in 2012.

“It was definitely a proud moment for us at the Nasinu Masters Football League.

“This competition has given us an opportunity to meet all ex-district and national reps and refresh memories of yester years where we all played for the same team or opposing teams,” said Robert.

Robert thanked Fiji Football for their vision to organize the Veterans Soccer tournament.

“In terms of health and wellness, this competition motivates us to train regularly and keep fit to play league matches.

“I would like to thank our executive team and our coach Tagi Vonolagi for this successful outing,” said Robert.

The team will now prepare for the 2019 International Veterans Tournament which will be held on February 6 to 11 in Auckland, New Zealand.
