Hurricanes winger Kini Naholo says they are hoping to turn the tables on the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva tonight.
The hard-hitting Nadroumai, Nadroga native had started for the Wellington-based side in their 24-27 loss to the Drua at the same venue last year.
The younger brother of former All Blacks winger Waisake Naholo will start on the right wing for the visitors and will be marked by Epeli Momo, a matchup he is looking forward to.
“I am looking forward to the match and really excited to be here,” the 25-year-old said.
He said the Drua turned on the heat everytime they played on home soil and they were expecting a tough clash.
“The Drua is a different team at home and it will be hard playing here,” Naholo said.
“We are hoping to turn the results from last year. The boys have been preparing well for this match and it will be a good, physical clash.”
Naholo added that it will be great to see friends and family in the stands tonight.
The winger has started in six matches for the Hurricanes in the 2024 Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific and is in good form this season, registering three tries.
On the left wing will be Salesi Rayasi, the son of former Flying Fijians fullback Filipe, while in playing lock forward is Isaia Walker-Leawere, son of former Flying Fijians forward Kele.
The match kicks off at 7.05pm.
