RIO Olympics Fiji 7s gold medallists Samisoni Viriviri and Kitione Taliga will spearhead Dratabu’s campaign in the Jack’s Nadi Rugby Union Super 14 semi-finals to be held at Prince Charles Park this afternoon.

The former national 7s reps were in top form in last week’s quarter-finals and are expected to play a huge role against Army in the do or die encounter.

The duo will be backed by former Malolo captain Veniona Vuki. But it will not be smooth sailing for the Dratabu side knowing the Army team will field some big names. Nadi looseman Jiuta Takubu, centre Vilive Aria and flyer Mosese Tui will strengthen Army’s campaign.

Meanwhile, in another semi-final, former 7s rep Samu Saqiwa is likely to team up with Vatemo Ravouvou for Saunaka against Western Marine.

Western Marine is expected to feature three upcoming talents in Orisi Erenavula, Leone Vatunitu and Nete Caucau. NRU chairman Sekove Tuilakeba said both games would be exciting because each team would want to be crowned the new champion.

Defending champion Nawaka was bundled out in the quarter-finals last week.

Tuilakeba called on fans to come out in huge numbers and witness two mouth-watering encounters. In the premier semi-finals, Sabeto is billed to play Police while Momi to battle Airport.
