NADI women’s coach Timaima Ravisa wants her side to carry its lessons from the final round of the Subrail Marama Cup into this week’s quarter-finals.

Ravisa said the team was determined to finish the competition strongly and showcase the players’ talent as they prepare for the knockout stage.

She acknowledged the frustration of their latest match but said the players would use the experience to identify areas that needed improvement before their quarter-final.

“Whatever mistakes we made today, that is our work in preparing us for the quarter-finals next week (this week),” Ravisa said.

She said her main goal was to help the players perform to their potential and continue contributing to the growth of women’s rugby in Fiji.

Ravisa said the development of the women’s game over the years had been encouraging, with more opportunities now available through club and provincial competitions.

She also acknowledged the Fiji Rugby Union for providing women with opportunities to showcase their abilities.

Looking ahead to the quarter-final, Ravisa said her approach would remain simple, with an emphasis on the basics and making the right decisions on the field.

“We treat every game as a final, so we are not underestimating any team this year,” she said.

Ravisa called on supporters to get behind Nadi women as they prepare to face a challenging opponent in the quarter final.

She also thanked the Nadi Rugby Union executive board and the team’s sponsors for their continued support throughout the competition.
