Nadi FC has bolstered its attack power with the inclusion of Clivert Sam and Junior Rocky from Solomon Islands club Honiara FC for the 2024 Digicel Fiji Premier League (DFPL) which kicks off this weekend.

Nadi Football Association president Mohammed Mohin Rafiq confirmed to this newspaper that the International Transfer Certificate (ITC) for the duo has been received.

The Green Machine has also been boosted with the arrival of assistant coach Ranjal Dayal from Calgary, Canada.

“He (Dayal) is a former Nadi youth player and has good coaching experience in Canada, whose expertise and football acumen would be invaluable for the team,” he said.

Rafiq urged fans to come out in large numbers for their season opener against Tailevu Naitasiri FC this Sunday at the Prince Charles Park.

“We are calling for support from the fans and promise them that we will give our best this season.”

Rocky, 20, has represented Solomon Islands Under-23 while Sam has made Solomon Islands national team appearance, would look to end the Nadi FC’s woes in front of goal which was evident last season.

It is believed the Green Machine are working on securing the services of a third Solomon Islands international player as well. Nadi FC will play Nadroga FC tomorrow (Wednesday) in a warm-up match at the Korovuto College grounds.
