THE final season one competition of the NewWorld IGA Mixed Netball competition was a major success, with 32 teams competed throughout the season, with the finals took place at the FMF Gymnasium on Thursday.

Suva Netball Association secretary Dominiko Tabuaura, expressed his satisfaction with the season’s outcome, mentioning many teams that sought registration, but the selection had to come down to a total of 32 teams.

“It was a successful competition, which saw many young and talented players showcasing their skills throughout the season,” said Tabuaura.

“The 32 teams thoroughly enjoyed their matches, providing both a competitive outlet and it was also a post work excise opportunity for the players.

“Some players even managed to secure job opportunities through their participation in the tournament, which was a major advantage.

“The turnout also was amazing, and there are high hopes for an even greater participation in the upcoming second round of the Business House competition scheduled for October.”

In the finals across different grades, MOH emerged victorious 17-12 against PLP in the CEO grade, Central teachers defeated BSP Life 15-13 in the Management grade, Water ATH Fiji won against Gospel Friends 14-5 in the Supervisory grade, and RISE triumphed over RCL in the leadership grade with a close 10-9 score.
