Minister visits municipal markets

MINISTER for Local Government Premila Kumar is touring municipal markets in the Western Division.

Her official tour began yesterday at the Korovou Market in Tailevu and the Rakiraki, Tavua and Ba markets.

She also visited the Namaka market today before heading to Sigatoka.

“The purpose of my visit is to see the progress on various projects that’s under this financial year and also to understand why some projects are not moving as fast as it should be,” Ms Kumar said.

The newly-constructed Namaka Market is expected to be open later this week.
