A MAN who is alleged to have caused the death of a woman in an accident at Valelevu, Nasinu, on Sunday, September 16, will appear at the Nasinu Magistrates Court tomorrow.
According to Police, the 25-year-old driver has been charged with one count of aggravated dangerous driving occasioning death, drunk driving and two counts of dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm.
Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro had earlier said the man was driving under the influence of alcohol when he ran into the woman and two others.
The victim was walking with two others along Kanace Rd on Sunday afternoon when it is alleged the suspect lost control of his vehicle and ran into the three who were on the side of the road.
The victim was then rushed to the CWM hospital where she was pronounced dead while another woman was admitted at the Intensive Care Unit.
The third victim is admitted in the observation ward.
