Fiji’s natural beauty, warm hospitality and diverse cultural offerings have left a lasting mark on the hearts and minds of those who have visited.

And it is for this reason that the local tourism destination has been voted number one in the South Pacific for the second year in a row by renowned Conde Nast Traveller — a luxury and lifestyle travel magazine.

According to Tourism Fiji, 526,518 Condé Nast Traveller readers from the United States and the United Kingdom participated in the survey, sharing their recent travel experiences, knowledge, and insights across various categories.

“This award not only acknowledges the dedication and commitment of Fiji’s tourism industry, but also serves as a catalyst, enticing more visitors to experience the wonders Fiji has to offer,” he said.

“We are proud and grateful to receive the recognition of #1 island in the South Pacific for the second year in a row.

“Not only is Fiji one of the friendliest and most welcoming destinations in the world, it offers natural beauty and a unique living culture and it is gratifying to see that our travellers agree.”

The Tourism Fiji head said Fiji’s world-class resorts also played a critical role in delivering the true Fiji experience and their tireless efforts were recognised in providing the best services to travellers.
