A total of 37 law graduates from local tertiary institutions were admitted to the Bar in a ceremony attended by acting Chief Justice Kamal Kumar.

Among them was 24-year-old Sharon Sylvia Pratap from Koroqaqa, Nausori who attained her degree from the University of the South Pacific.

“My parents, my brothers and sister they have always supported me throughout this entire journey and for that I am very thankful,” she said.

Ms Pratap said her future plans included being a specialist in civil, commercial and corporate law.

“I had to make a lot of sacrifices missing out on family functions but I am thankful for the fact that they understood why it was important for me to study.

“For those pursuing a career in law, you need to work hard and pursue your dreams with all of your heart,” Ms Pratap added.
