Katonitabua urges youths to take pride in culture, origins

ARTISANS at the 2018 National Craft Exhibition were today reminded that their skills and ingenuity would drive them to greater things.

Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of iTaukei Affairs Naipote Katonitabua while opening the craft exhibition at the Valelevu Ground in Nasinu as part of the 2018 Vodafone Fiji Hibiscus Festival acknowledged the artisans for their dedication and commitment.

Mr Katonitabua also pleaded to the youths of Fiji to take pride and take time to learn about their culture and origins.

“Whilst, we are here in Suva, our cultural ways are becoming extinct, the transfer of traditional knowledge is a major challenge,” he said.
