A Fijian who acted in the movie, Stranded Pearl is urging Fijians to watch the film once it premiers in Fiji from May 2.

Anand Raj Naidu, who plays the main lead role, described the movie as a beautiful Pacific Island romantic adventure.

“It’s a light-hearted family-oriented film that will make viewers curious, laugh, smile, cry and keep you in your seats till the end,” he said.

“There are two keys roles played by two Fijians, I am the male lead and play the role of Sid who has a complex past and has to deal with being stuck in a scenario he doesn’t want to be in.

“Jagdish Punja plays a very important role of a senior detective which is a critical aspect for the film story and makes the film what it is.

“Like Jagdish, I feel that we need the support and love from our Fijian community so that we can succeed in the world and make Fiji feel proud and inspire Fijians to aim for the stars.”

The film was shot in the Cook Islands and Naidu is also the producer of the movie.

“The film’s success will be something which should make every Fijian proud and will showcase to the world what Fijians can do.”

Stars from the film will be in Fiji from May 2-5 and will meet moviegoers at selected Damodar Cinemas.
