The Kadavu Provincial Secondary School athletics team wasted no time upon arriving on Viti Levu on Tuesday, as they immediately went to test the newly-refurbished HFC Bank Stadium tracks in preparation for the upcoming Coca-Cola Games.

The school is sending 10 athletes for the games, the same number as last year.

Coach Sivoni Ligaviu expressed confidence in the team’s preparation, stating the athletes were fit and ready for the competition.

“The team has prepared well after the Kadavu Zone, worked on our mistakes and focusing ahead for the Fiji Finals,” said Ligaviu.

The school won one gold medal from last year’s competition and is determined to give their best performance despite facing tough competition from other schools.

“The athletes are excited and eager to showcase their skills on the new tracks,” he said. “We like to thank the school and management for their support.”
