Bones believed to be that of two humans were found on an island resort near Sigatoka yesterday.
They were discovered while resort workers were digging a drain.
Sources have confirmed to The Fiji Times the bones were discovered metres apart.
The resort management informed the Police soon after the discovery.
The resort island is located offshore from the mainland.
Fiji Police Force confirmed the discovery.
“The 46 year Resort Manager reported that some workers found human remains whilst digging a cable line at the resort,” said spokesperson Ana Naisoro.
