Hotel group raises hygiene and safety standards

The Tanoa Hotel Group has taken extra measures to ensure guests were treated to a hygienically safe stay from COVID-19.

According to a statement from the group, its hygiene partners ECOLAB have started reassessing all areas of the hotel to ensure the safety of the guests.

“We are very grateful for the trust our guests have shown us through the years. We want our guests to understand what we are doing today as well as planning for in the future in the areas of cleanliness, hygiene and social distancing,” said area general manager Fiji, Narend Kumar.

“We would like to assure our guests that when they come and stay at Tanoa Hotel Group, they know our commitment to their health and safety is our number one priority.”

Mr Kumar added the owners were always focused on their guests and people. He said they were delighted to be associated with ECOLAB in providing the highest hygiene and sanitisation standards in ensuring a clean and safe environment for their guests and staff alike.

The Tanoa Hotel Group, Fiji was said to have created a task team in order to meet the new health and safety challenges presented by the global pandemic environment according to the statement.

It also stated to have been working closely with all partners pre and during COVID-19 to elevate its hygiene standards to provide a safe stay for its guests whom the group plan to enhance post COVID-19.

The group added it had already installed hand sanitisers throughout the hotel properties, had hand gloves and masks in stock and reviewed standard operating procedures to handle any possible risk or any pandemic crisis such as COVID-19.

“ECOLAB have reviewed our chemical stock levels and effectiveness, laundry operations, kitchen and food and beverage operations, refreshing the hotel management and staff on proper use and correct dosage of chemicals.”

The staff have been briefed and trained on how to use chemicals as well as handle any possible risk areas.
