Hollywood actress Halle Berry has praised Fiji’s Kokomo Private Island and its staff after enjoying what she described as a memorable family vacation at the luxury resort.
Berry shared her experience on social media, thanking the Kokomo team for their hospitality, warmth and attention to her family throughout their stay.
“This family vacation has been one for the ages!” Berry said.
She described everything at Kokomo as “sheer perfection”, saying the staff went out of their way to make the family feel welcome and cared for.
Berry gave special recognition to a staff member named Ima, who she said helped make the holiday particularly memorable.
According to the Academy Award-winning actress, Ima helped her son become dive certified, cared for her daughter when she experienced seasickness, encouraged Van to jump into a waterfall and even tended to Berry after she broke her toe while playing pickleball.
The family also managed to catch some fish during their island adventures.
“We will miss you most of all!” Berry told Ima.
A highlight of the Kokomo stay was a pre-birthday lovo celebration organised for Berry and her family.
Berry described the night as “epic”, praising the traditional island songs, local cuisine and warmth of the people who hosted the celebration.
“The sweet island songs you all sang and delicious cuisine paired with the biggest smiles I’ve ever seen made the night truly magical,” she said.
The actress also offered glowing praise for Fiji and its people following the experience.
“It’s true, Fiji does have the happiest people on Earth,” Berry said.
She ended her message by indicating that the family hoped their Kokomo experience would not be their last.
“We can’t wait to return to paradise!”
