Award-winning chocolatier Janice Wong will be in Fiji next month with her culinary offerings in a partnership with Marriott International Fiji hotels.
The global renowned Singaporean-based artist and chef will collaborate with Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay and Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort on this culinary journey.
“I am thrilled to partner with Marriott International Fiji Hotels, working with the local teams, learning new cultural techniques and immersing myself in the vibrant culture Fiji has to offer,” Ms Wong said in a statement.
“Chocolate art and dessert to me is always about evoking the five senses and pushing the boundaries. It’s about creating an experience where guests can not only see and taste the art but also feel its textures and immerse themselves in its cultural narratives.”
At the Fiji end, the anticipation is building up.
“We are honoured to collaborate with Janice Wong to bring this exceptional culinary experience to our guests,” general manager Sheraton & Westin Resorts – Fiji Complex Neeraj Chadha said.
The partnership, he said, emphasised their commitment to deliver unparalleled experiences that celebrated artistry, innovation, and Fiji’s rich culinary heritage.
Ms Wong will be at Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort from May 4-8, and at the Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay’s outlets from May 9-14.
She will host a chocolate painting class on May 12 to celebrate Mother’s Day.
She will also launch an ongoing menu item at Tatavu Grill & Bar and Fish Bar, and develop one of her famous chocolate art installations using 20kg of chocolate from local Fiji brands Vanua and KokoMana and salt from South Seas Salt.
