THE Sathya Sai Organisation Fiji will once again embark on a series of free medical camps, which began yesterday.
Organisation national president Dr Rajat Gyaneshwar said this year, personnel from New Zealand will also join the team.
Over 90 personnel conducted an outreach clinic in Nagado, Nadi, yesterday.
“The team will then proceed by boat to conduct Sai MediCare Camps in Levuka, Gau and Koro Islands,” he said.
“In August, another Sai MediCare team from Australia will visit Vanua Levu to provide health care to remote communities.
“The visiting Sai MediCare team members are from all faiths and are motivated by the service centred activities of the Sai Organisation globally with the guiding principles of “Love All Serve All”, “Help Ever, Hurt Never”. All work is done without any expectation and with a spirit of selflessness.”
According to Dr Gyaneshwar, a number of services would be provided by visiting health professionals from New Zealand, Australia and Fiji.
This includes consultations for all age groups, infants, children, adults and the elderly, general medical, paediatric, surgical check-ups, minor surgical procedures, gastroenterology, paediatric (Children’s Specialty), child adolescent psychiatry, obstetrics and gynaecology, stroke physician, physiotherapy etcetera.
The team will be at Delana Primary School and Bureta Health Centre in Levuka on May 22 and 23 respectively.
Dr Gyaneshwar said the visit will conclude after visits to Nabasovi District School on Koro and Navukailagi District School on Gau on May 24 and 25.
