A former clerical officer at the Office of the Registrar of Land, Titles and Deeds has been granted a $2000 non-cash bail bond by the Suva Magistrate’s Court yesterday.
Talica Taloga Veiraurau is charged with one count of abuse of office.
The prosecution informed the court that first phase disclosures had been served and requesting more time to serve the second phase. Ms Veiraurau is seeking Legal Aid representation.
Magistrate Krishan Prasad stressed to Ms Veiraurau that the offence was an electable one that could be transferred to the High Court based on her decision.
Ms Veiraurau was released on bail and the case has been adjourned to March 22.
