Five hundred run with red dress

THE 2018 Bula Fiji Interhash started with the Red Dress Run in Lautoka this afternoon attracting more than 550 participants.

It was a fantastic route through the heart of Lautoka City and along the waterfront overlooking the Bekana Island and most of the historical sites like the Lautoka Wharf, Fiji Sugar Corporation Mill, Girmit Centre, Botanical Gardens, Lautoka hospital and Natabua High School.

Lautoka is the home of the Lautoka Hospital Hash which was founded by the late Doctor Raghwa Narayan in 1977 and remains the only hospital hash in the world which holds its runs every Thursday.

The official opening of the Interhash will be held at Prince Charles Park in Nadi tomorrow afternoon.

The biennial event has attracted more than 1700 runners from 60 countries.
