Fiji’s Della Shaw to officiate at 2020 Olympics

DELLA Shaw-Elder has been selected to officiate at the 2020 Olympic Games in Japan.

She is the only female International Weightlifting Federation category one referee in the Pacific and has been appointed as an International Technical Official (ITO) for the Olympic Games.

“I am deeply honoured to be appointed as an ITO to the 2020 Olympic Games,” said Elder.

“This recognition is for the women of the Oceania region and I thank IWF for giving me the opportunity and also to Weightlifting Fiji for my nomination.”

The IWF executive board, at its recent meeting, selected the ITOs for the Weightlifting Competitions of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
