FIJIANS playing rugby in Vancouver, Canada, continue to show the south seas prowess in the oval ball game.

During the weekend the Bayside Fiji Blond Sharks rugby 7s team won the Langford 7s tournament after beating BC’s NextGen 19-7.

The Bayside Fiji Blond Sharks has some Fijian players such as former national 7s rep Peni Rokodiva Jr, Livai Naivogo and Luke Nabaro of Nadi, and Marika Delai of Ra.

“We won the tournament last week as Canada prepares for the Vancouver 7s,” Rokodiva, said from Vancouver yesterday.

He scored the first try in the final followed by Canadian player Sammy Clayton and the final score from Delai.

The team recorded six wins in the tournament. The team is the brainchild of former Fiji residents, Petaia Usakilakeba and Bobby Naicker.
