DELEGATES from the agriculture sector in Fiji and Thailand met today to review the progress on various projects during the Fiji-Thailand Second Session of Joint Agriculture Working Group Meeting at the Holiday Inn in Suva.

Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives in Thailand Lertviroj Kowattana said one of the objectives of the meeting was to analyse a few projects from the first joint meeting that was conducted in 2016.

“The key objectives of this meeting is to review on the progress of projects from the first meeting of the Joint Agricultural Working Group and to exchange views on new projects,” Mr Kowattana said.

“Furthermore, if I may have to raise some concerning issues, it only has to strengthen and expand our cooperation in agriculture.”

Fiji’s Ministry of Agriculture permanent secretary David Kolitagane acknowledged the Thailand government for taking up the initiative to set up the meeting.
