Fiji records 78 per cent recovery rate for COVID-19 cases

Fiji has had a 78 per cent recovery rate for its positive COVID-19 cases.

According to government, 14 out of the 18 positive cases have recovered so far.

Government also confirmed that all the 35 COVID-19 tests conducted recently have returned negative.

As of today, Fiji has 11 days left for the Expected Day of Declaration – this is when government can declare that the country is COVID-19 free.

“After the Day of Declaration, the only threat will be those arriving back into the country but they are in quarantine so they will not pose a big risk in the communities,” the government said.
