FIJI Airways Drua head coach Senirusi Seruvakula has reminded his troops to forget the two huge National Rugby Championship (NRC) wins and set their focus on Queensland Country this weekend.

He said there were other good teams ready to challenge the Fiji Drua.

Seruvakula urged the players to put their feet on the ground and keep persevering. Fiji Drua leads the NRC points table after registering two huge wins against the Melbourne Rebels and Brisbane City in the first two rounds of the competition.

The wins were at home. He said the job was far from over and there were many areas that needed improvements.

“We have to come down to earth because there is still a long way for us,” said Seruvakula.

“The players have been told to forget the game against Brisbane and set their focus against Queensland Country in our third game.

“We need to be strict with the boys because some think we have beaten Brisbane and we can also beat Queensland.”

Seruvakula said Queensland would be tough and his troops could not afford to commit basic mistakes.

“It is going to be tougher every week and all teams will review our past games and try to contain us.

“Queensland will be playing in front of their home turf and it is going to be a tough challenge for the boys.

“We need to learn from our mistakes because we are playing against Super Rugby players.”

He said he was impressed with the scrums.

“Playing against Super Rugby players is a huge exposure for us.”

He said the away match against Queensland would test the players since it would be their first game in a foreign land this year.
