THE Fiji Airways national 7s team needs to win four games if they want to hoist the 2018 Rugby World Cup 7s trophy.

These wins at San Francisco’s AT&T Park are required by the new competition format released by World Rugby to be used for this year’s competition.

The Jerry Tuwai-captained side will face the winner of the Japan versus Uruguay in its opening game.

The winner from this game will then proceed to a quarter-final match, most likely against Argentina.

Head coach Gareth Baber said the team has been training over the past three days in Utah.

He said the players were over-worked at training just to have the feel of what to expect at the world cup.

Baber said he would name his final 12-member side on Sunday.

The world cup will be held from July 20-22.
