The Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC) told the Anti-Corruption Division of the High Court in Suva that they intended to file a discontinuance in the case of former opposition MP Adi Litia Qionibaravi.

The matter was called before High Court judge Justice Dr Thushara Kumarage.

FICAC lawyer Daren Hicks informed the court that the commission’s decision was based on an updated medical report on Adi Litia’s condition.

Mr Hicks said Adi Litia had been examined by three physicians whose recommendation were that she was unfit to participate in proceedings, give evidence or instructions.

The matter was adjourned to April 19 for mention.
