THE melodious sound of hymns continue to echo around Furnival park, Toorak, in Suva today as the 2018 Festival of Praise for the Methodist Church in Fiji and Rotuma comes to a close.

Methodist Church of Fiji and Rotuma general secretary Reverend Ili Vunisuwai said it had been an amazing week for the church because they were able to hold fruitful discussions with its members.

Mr Vunisuwai said this week, the church had a brief discussion with the Fiji Corrections Service and the talks was based on how the church would work together with FCS to help reduce the crime rate in Fiji.

The conference proper to be attended by church ministers will begin on Monday at the Centenary Church in Suva.

The festival of praise concludes tonight.
