THE New-Methodist Christian Fellowship has been commended for instilling a healthy life to its members.

Speaking at the church’s global conference yesterday, Health and Medical Services Minister Dr Ifereimi Waqainabete said he admired the church because they were in line with a “healthy life”.

“It is imperative to look after your health to avoid getting non-communicable and communicable diseases,” he said.

“I’ve seen all the internal organs of human beings and let me tell you this, when an internal organ gets affected, it cannot be fixed by batteries or any technology.

“Therefore it is very important that you live a healthy life.”

He added the ministry was also working towards enhancing their services.

“We want an approachable, compassionate and professional work ethics in order to serve the Fijian people.”

The conference ends today.
