Rooster Chicken Fijian Drua women speedster Atelaite Buna says she keeps her teammates, family, and fans at the forefront of her mind when charging towards the tryline.

Buna’s electrifying speed and dynamic running style proved pivotal in their recent matches against the Brumbies and Melbourne Rebels, earning accolades from both fans and sports commentators on social media.

“When I hold the ball I only see the tryline and I always think of my team, my family and the fans and make sure to score a try,” Buna said.

The Yasawa native is determined to enhance her defensive skills for today’s Super Rugby W match against the Western Force.

“My weakness in our game against Melbourne Rebels was my defence and I hope to improve on my defence.”

Meanwhile, head coach Mosese Rauluni, speaking after their captain’s run in Nadi yesterday, conveyed the team’s palpable excitement.

“We trained really well on Wednesday, trained hard,” Rauluni said.

Despite a few positional changes in today’s lineup, Rauluni remains confident in his team’s ability to perform.

“Unfortunately, we miss Cumu this week, but the girls have trained hard, and it should be good,” Rauluni added.

The match starts at 4.35pm.
