Ana Gasaudrau lost her police officer husband, Vilikesa Rokosuka, in December last year after a short illness.

He was one of the 20 police officers who were remembered during the Fiji Police Force Remembrance Day yesterday.

Ms Gasaudrau said her late husband collapsed at their home. “It has been tough for us because our dad’s death was sudden but we had to learn to live with it,” she said.

“I have four children who are all boys and they are still in school. Support and guidance from loved ones and families has assisted us but we still miss our dad.”

Also at the event was Aynul Nisha. She lost her husband, Raj Chetty, while he was out fishing in April this year.

The 48-year-old said life had not been the same for her and her two children since losing the breadwinner of the family.

The mother of two said her husband worked in the Fiji Police Force for more than 20 years.
