The 2021 Fiji National Athletics Championships was held at the ANZ Stadium during the Easter Weekend from Friday, April 2 to Saturday, April 3.

The stadium was packed with athletes from Fiji secondary schools, Laucala, Veiuto, Gospel Saints, Royals, Dakua, Striders, Trailblazers, Taveuni, Nausori, Nadi Jets, Suva Marathon & USP.

There were spectacular performances and turnout from our athletes as young as U6 grades to the senior and open division.

Athletes displayed their strength and the young athletes entertained the crowd.

With so much competition coming from all different clubs we can only imagine how intense the Coca-Cola Games atmosphere would be as schools battle it out.

The Easter Games were recognised as a qualifier for the Tokyo Olympic Games. Banuve Tabakaucoro and Eugene Vollmer both failed to meet the qualifying time and distance on Saturday, April 3.

Tabakaucoro’s qualifying time was 10.5s in the 100m but he clocked 10.79s.

Vollmer’s jump was supposed to exceed 17m, but he covered a distance of 15.24m.
